JENNIFER “JLo” Lopez and Ben Affleck confirmed their engagement late Friday night amid previous speculation from fans.
The singer was spotted wearing a massive diamond ring days earlier.

A rep for the singer/actress confirmed the happy news to PEOPLE on Friday.
Jennifer, 52, also revealed her engagement in her On the JLo newsletter after being photographed sporting her new ring.
In a Friday evening email, she gushed about her love story.
The New York native featured a clip of her admiring a large green diamond, which was sitting on her wedding ring finger.
The On The Floor singer’s sister shared the video on Twitter, writing: “Major announcement!!!!”
In the clip, she gushed: “So I have a really exciting and special story to share…”
The mom of two added a diamond ring emoji to her Twitter handle as well, further teasing the engagement.
She and Ben famously dated nearly two decades ago and got engaged for the first time in November 2002.
They split in 2004 but rekindled their romance, much to the surprise of fans, in 2021 and have been hot and heavy in the year since.
TIME HEALS
Reflecting on their whirlwind romantic journey, and what makes their connection different after all these years, the Grammy winner told PEOPLE: “We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things.”
She went on: “It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other.
“We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions.”
‘WE HOLD IT SACRED’
The Marry Me star concluded: “We have been in the game in the public eye long enough to know who we are as people and what really matters and what doesn’t matter.
“We have kids and we respect each other. … We really live our lives in a way we can be proud of and our kids can be proud of. We’re just operating from a place of love and respect for everyone in our lives and that is very important to us. We know what the truth is [and] we hold it sacred.”
Jennifer shares 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with Marc Anthony, her ex-husband.
Prior to revisiting her relationship with the Tender Bar star, she was engaged to Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez.
Ben, meanwhile, is dad to Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10 – all of whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
SPARKING SPECULATION
Earlier this week, Jennifer was seen wearing a huge diamond on her finger.
The sighting came shortly after she and her husband-to-be purchased a $50million mansion together.
She was shopping for furniture when she was photographed with the ring on her left ring finger.
While exiting the store, she was snapped seemingly trying to hide the massive piece of pre-marital bling from view by curling her fingers in toward her palm.
She wore a printed, flowing dress and nude heels while she browsed the store with daughter Emme by her side.
They strolled through HD Buttercup furniture store and D.L. Rhein in Culver city, Los Angeles.
NEW PAD
Jen and the Argo actor’s new mansion boasts a pool, courtyard, and a personal parking lot.
The couple are preparing to take their blended family and move into the prime district of Bel Air as a unit.
The mansion was built in the 1930s, and has a whopping 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms.
The three-level house also boasts a wine cellar, movie theater, and wood-paneled office.
Outside, there is a large infinity pool, a putting green, well-kept gardens, and several fire pits.
