Honolulu’s newest furniture store is brimming with a ton of affordable, small-space styles.
Hawai‘i residents have long dealt with the double whammy of being both short on living space and short on furniture stores. So when C. S. Wo & Sons announced the opening of a new concept store under its popular HomeWorld brand curated specifically for urban Island living, we had to check it out.

Apt by HomeWorld (pronounced A-P-T) is a 20,000-square-foot showroom at Ward Avenue and Queen Street. Inside, the general layout isn’t all that different from that of the space’s previous occupant, Ashley Homestore, with vignettes of cozy living rooms, dining areas and bedrooms taking up its two stories.

But now, instead of massive media centers, you’ll find minimal, low-profile TV stands. Humongous sleigh beds have been swapped for slimmer upholstered frames and bulbous recliner sofas replaced with modular sectionals, petite loveseats and smaller-scale sofas that fold down to futons. Not to mention, the overall aesthetic leans more modern and contemporary.

Along with furniture, you’ll also find a good selection of accessories and décor pieces, including lighting, rugs, framed artwork, vases and more. And Apt even offers special furniture packages for new condo developments.
